Maan Atelier was founded by Katherine Hunter in 2021 as a way to encompass the creative worlds she creates through her art and writing.
Katherine’s work explores the ways in which writing and art can push back against the world that we live in. She loves to ask why, especially when it comes to the strange ways of people and how they react to their environments. Nature, fantasy, coming of age and introspection are common themes in her work.
There are also times when Katherine enjoys creating for creation’s sake, without the need to delve into politics or deep societal issues. Art can be a means to escape what is real, where the pure act of creating is the answer to what’s the point of all this?
